~I have seen Dr. Beaton many times over the years. He has a casual drop in policy that bothers some people, can mean longer waits if everyone arrives at the same time. ~I have always found him to be very professional, approachable, kind and courteous! ~I have found him open to discussion and sharing information on how I might do things differntly to get differnt results. ~ I have never found him to be pushy or overbearing!~ I think that if you are not happy with your health care provider you should speak with them about your concerns and get a second opinion, that would be far more constructive than using this forum to gripe and malign a doctor's work.~ I would not hesitate to reccomend him to anyone looking for a good chiropractor!

I have great difficulty believeing any of the negative comments made on this page, and they are in strark contrast to the positive ones. What I DO know for sure is that I was in excruciating pain from an uncooperative lumbar, and after the first, very inexpensive visit, I was feeling much bettr and could walk. In contrast to my previous perception of the stereotype of chiropracters working in a torture chamber with screaming patients, Dr Beaton was very gentle. He had me come back for another adjustment visit a few days later, and I was in bliss from lack of pain. He gave me a list of exercises to do everyday to strengthen the back and improve posture. After one more checkup a week later to make sure all was staying in proper position, I asked if i needed any more visits, and he said, "No, only if you want to come visit when I'm not busy." I always highly recommend him for any friends or students who have back problems.

He doesnt know proper positioning when adjusted. You lay however you want. He just points to the side hes going to do first. Hes looking at you laying half on your back, half on your side, one leg bent, the other half bent, one arm completely under you or hanging over, an arm behind you, does nothing to correct it, adjusts lumbar or whatever hes doing to your hips. You're angled. Not once did he ever straighten the body to lay properly straight on one side with one leg bent, fold arms in front for protection, ever. Being adjusted like that once a month for a long time what damage is there to neck, shoulders, arms, upper back and back, hips, lumbar. It's unprofessional, irresponsible and negligent on his part to permit and allow this still to continue. People are being adjusted basically however they want to lay, not knowing. He needs to be informed about the importance of proper positioning and shown, and abide by it. Hes not doing it. Your body is being trained to be out.

To start you may go in for headaches. You come in 1/per/mo,that never gets fixed, then added back problems on top of headaches, those never get fixed, then added low back problems, that never gets fixed...on + on + on. Nothing is ever fixed + now multiplied. Once you start 1/p/mo you'll be going in for the rest of your life playing catch-up. You'll go for 15,20,25 yrs. You have to because now you're hooked + can't function, you crash. He knows exactly what he's doing, you don't until too late. It's wrong! On MSP you got 12/p/yr IN CASE you needed them, not to be used up yr after yr forever. They were there for the taking.... You're there to maintain guaranteed income for him. He got rich, you became dependant. If he can't do it in 5,6 few treatments so you don't have to come back for a long time, then see someone else even +++ chiros otherwise you're going to be living the nightmare a lot of us are because now it's so engrained + no one can fix it.
